Teamwork makes the dream work. We are lucky to call these ladies ours.
Lily is our buyer, occasional designer, and remote busy bee. The floral business found her at a time in her life when she was looking for a change. She made the leap and has worked in floral design for roughly 6ish years–most recently for a floral wholesale which is how she met Kalin! They have been together since day 1 in this floral adventure.
She thanks her lucky stars she gets to reside in Northern Michigan, and calls the Leelanau/TC area home.
When she is off duty, she is usually found with her partner Brent, her three kiddos (Easton, Hudson, & Cecily), & her family. If she could pick a perfect day it would be exploring a new small town, a good meal, and preferably a swim in the lake with her crew. You can also find her creating something (doodling, painting, sewing), on the golf course–and she’s always game for a hand of euchre.
Lily loves taking the small pieces and all the details and taking a bride’s dream and making it a reality. Nothing makes her happier than hearing a bride say “It’s better than I imagined”!
More on Lily? Her current obsessions include: Dip dyeing fabrics for projects, handmade gifts and homemade chocolate malts.
A lover of both cities and Northern Michigan, Sabrina has spent the better half of her last decade in Detroit, Michigan and has been a remote member of the Sweetwater crew since the Fall of 2017. She manages the website, special projects, brand + marketing goodness and communications for Sweetwater alongside Kalin every week.
Sabrina is the type of neighbor who brings over baked goods for holiday cheer and is always game for front porch sitting with a cool drink.
She spends most of her days working with clients at her company Anchorlight Creative and her nights with her darling husband, cheerful daughter, adorable son, needy cat and rambunctious German Shepard puppy.
Most recently, she's a new homeowner and already dreaming of house number two. A lake house with a yard full of pine trees is up next and to that end—she fosters an unhealthy relationship with Zillow.
When she’s not writing, cooking or kid wrangling, you can find her reading a book or the New York Times, traveling, drinking iced tea and on a good day, all three of those things at once.
Sam comes to Sweetwater by way of Saginaw, Michigan (#Saginawesome) and is one of our lead Floral Designers alongside Erin. She loves photography, growing cut flowers and amazing Michigan produce.
She used to be a communications manager for a non-profit but floral design turned out to be a natural creative outlet for her. She loves building beautiful bridesmaids bouquets and gets really excited about ginormous ceremony arbors just like Kalin.
She is currently crushing on blueberry pancakes, annual flower pots and has some sage advice to anyone waxing romantic about her current career: ” Life is about choices–you have the power to build a live you love.”
Erin is a Sweetwater Floral Designer and she feels like every Wednesday when the flowers come is like Christmas morning. In a former life she was a cake decorator/baker for 10 years and floral design fits perfectly into her creative wheelhouse!
She was born in Eagle River, Wisconsin, but moved to Michigan last August after spending the last 9 years in Denver, Colorado.
When she is not in the studio she loves to go to concerts, kayak, fish, sip cocktails on outdoor patios, hike, garden, and really just anything outdoors!
She loves weddings with colors, kombucha, beach sunsets and photographing her amazing time in Northern Michigan.
Her motto for life? Live every day from a place of love, NOT fear.
Emma keeps the studio sparkling, runs errands with ease and delivers flowers with a smile. She is from Pellston, Michigan and loves to play sports and hang with her friends and family when she's not slinging flowers. Aiming her sights on the hospitality business, working at Sweetwater is a natural progression in her budding career.
She adores her coworkers and lives by the company motto: "Good Vibes Only." She loves seeing all the new varieties of flowers each week and how it all magically comes together to form a beautiful arrangement.
