on the August edition of "The Gather Series"
I cannot believe we only have one more edition of The Gather Series left before the snow flies. This year has been, a tremendous one of growth, failure, success & a whole lot of change. What I am most proud of this year for Sweetwater is without a doubt The Gather Series.
Our August edition was marked by picture perfect weather, a very kind, warm and creative crowd & of course, a delicious meal.
We kicked things off with cheese trays and tastings with Katie from Petoskey Cheese. Katie is passionate and LOVES to educate people about cheese, it was 100% Michigan made and delicious.
Next up, Greta from Harvest Thyme Farm graced us with a 'picked this morning' farm fresh salad. Greens, veggies, and a homemade Michigan maple dressing were the bomb.
Johnathan and Stephanie from Sunrise 2 Sunset Events hit it out of the park. A short rib that was fall off the bone tender with fresh veggies on the side and a lavender cheesecake for dessert (with Sweetwater lavender)!
I am endlessly grateful for those who give us their time, expertise & delicious product during such an insane time of year up here.
There are many creatives behind the plates that make this event go flawlessly each and every month. Ciarra from Silver Fox Calligraphy, Kelly from Serradella and Emily from Emily Zoldadz are amazing people, professionals & artists who ended their talents to us (and who we really actually love as friends.)
